Well, here we present info about two of the most famous in Paris airport you need to know. Check it out!

1. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), 
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy Airport is the most famous and largest airport in France, and the second largest in Europe. The Airport serves as the main international airport serving flights to various countries, became the site of the headquarters of Air France, and also cheap flights such as EasyJet. Despite his position as the airport of the city of Paris, the airport is actually not right in Paris but is 26 km northeast of the city of Paris, France.

Charles de Gaulle airport was first built in 1966 and opened in 1974 after the name was changed from Aéroport de Paris Nord (Paris North Airport) to Charles de Gaulle Airport. His new name is derived from the name of the founder of the Fifth Republic of France who is also the President of France from the year 1959-1969. 

In the year 2017, the Airport serves 69 million more passengers and 475 thousand flights and the airport, making it the 10th busiest in the world and 2nd in Europe (after London Heathrow Airport). 

Charles de Gaulle airport covers an area of 32.38 km2 in 3 regions namely Seine-et-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis, and Val-d'Oise. The Terminal itself is divided into 3, i.e. terminals 1, 2, and 3. 

* Terminal 1
Terminal 1 is the oldest terminal, designed to resemble the shape of an Octopus. This terminal became the site of an airport's main functions such as check-in counters and baggage claim place. 7 satellites (small) surrounding the central building has a boarding gate and each connected with the building of the Centre through the underpass.

Main building/Center consists of 9 floors: 1st floor: allocated for the benefit of the technical operations of the airport and is not for public access. 
2nd floor: a place of shops and restaurant, check-in counters, and also where the shuttle train (CDGVAL) to terminal 2 and also to the Centre of Paris. 
3rd floor: most of the check-in counters are located on this floor. And from the floor also can access the passenger to the place of waiting taxis, buses and special pick-up vehicles. 
4th floor: passengers holding boarding passes can access this floor that contains tax-free shops and also border controls to your boarding gate. 
5th floor: baggage claim is the place for newly arrived passengers. 
6-9 floor: allocated for parking places and also the Office of the airport. 

Hints would: the road between floors 3, 4, and 5 have a circular cover such a large pipe, clear and often used for location filming. 

* Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is divided into 7 sub-i.e. terminal 2A-2 g. Subterminal 2A-2F is connected with the way inter-terminals, but for 2 g which is a separate branch of the building (as far as 800 m) is linked via shuttle bus from terminal 1, 2A-2F, and 3. Terminal 2 g is dedicated to a local flight with the Air France plane, a plane with small capacities, and for flights between the European territory (Schengen area) so there is no passport control.


Train station shuttle between CDG airport terminal (CDGVAL), RER trains, the TGV train station, and Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV, all located in the complex of terminal 2, between terminals 2 c-2E (on one side) or between terminal 2D-2F (on opposite sides). 

* Terminal 3 
Terminal 3 is located as far as 1 km away from Terminal 1. Terminal 3 is composed of one building that is used for arrivals and departures. The distance to walk from terminal 3 to terminal 1 is 3 kilometers away, but passengers can ride trains RER CDG Airport Terminal 1 and train stations are just 300 m. Terminal 3 has no boarding gate, so passengers from the terminal taken by bus headed to the place of the plane. 

Roissypôle
 in addition to the terminal building, the Charles de Gaulle airport also has one area called the Roissypôle complex which is an area of Charles de Gaulle airport consisting of office buildings, hotels, shopping, and bus station RER B train station.

* Train
-The shuttle train is a system of CDGVAL automated free connecting passengers between terminal 1/3 and terminal 2. Divided into 2 lines i.e. CDGVAL and LISA. 
Travel time 8 minutes. 
-RER B at Charles de Gaulle Airport is linked to downtown Paris via RER B train from terminals 1, 2, and 3. RER B express non-stop express until Gare du Nord. Travel time 30-35 seconds. You can find the RER train in: Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 station: located at Roissypole near Terminal 3. 
Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV station: located in the middle of the Terminal 2 c and 2E (or between 2 c and 2F). 
-TGV the TGV station can be found in Terminal 2. It serves trains travelling directly to a number of cities in France such as Lille, Strasbourg, Dijon, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers, Rennes, Toulon, as well as services t, and also to the city of Brussels in Belgium.

* Bus-Roissybus, departs from terminals 1 and 2, and travels non stop up to the Palais Garnier. 
-Bus  "Le Bus Direct " has some lines/line to Paris. Line 2 to Place de l ' Étoile, Porte Maillot, the Trocadéro and the Eiffel Tower, line 3 to the airport of Paris Orly, line 4 to Gare Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon railway stations. [63]-RATP Bus 350 and 351 departs from the bus station at Roissypole (near Terminal 1 RER station). 
-Bus  "Magical Shuttle " departs from all terminals to Disneyland Paris. 
-Night Bus Noctilien (Night Lines) and N143 N140 23.50 after hours operates and depart from Terminal 1 door D12, Terminal 2 door 2, and Roissypôle station. Both of these bus lines toward the Gare de l'Est station in Paris (N143 once every 30 minutes, 1 hour each N140).

* Long distance buses (between cities) OUIBUS serve the route from Charles de Gaulle airport's terminal 3 via CDG 1 station, London, Lyon, Lille and Brussels. 


2. Paris Orly Airport (Aéroport de Paris-Orly ORY) 

Paris Orly Airport is the international airport of Paris Orly and located in Villeneuve-le-Roi, 13 km south of Paris, France. It acts as the second Paris airport that serves domestic flights and also international to Europe, Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean, North America, and Southeast Asia. 

Paris Orly Airport was first opened in 1932 and is the only major airport of Paris before the founding of Charles de Gaulle airport. Although currently most of the traffic is already redirected to CDG Airport, Orly airport France remains one of the busiest for local flights. 

The airport covers an area of 15.3 km2 and occupies land that goes into the realm of Essonne, and Val-de-Marne.

Orly airport has two terminal buildings i.e. Terminal Sud (South Terminal or South Terminal) and Terminal Ouest (West Terminal West or Terminal). 

* Terminal Sud (South Terminal)
South terminal building with steel and glass is composed of 6 floors. The basement level (1st floor) as well as floors 2, 3, and 4 became the site of an airport service facilities, restaurant, and also the Office. Floor 0 into a place of arrival facilities and also shops as well as counter service. While the first floor is home to the departure gate. 

* Terminal Ouest (West Terminal)
West Terminal consists of 2 floors and the area of the gate. * Bus-Bus RATP. There are 2 types of bus: Orlybus towards Denfert-Rochereau to, and 183 Buses heading to Porte de Choisy. 
-Bus  "Le Bus Direct ". There are 2 lines: Line 1 to the place Charles de Gaulle via the Gare Montparnasse. Line 3 to the airport of Charles de Gaulle. 
VEA-Bus: shuttle bus direct to Disneyland paris. 
-Noctillen: N22 night Bus into Place du Châtelet in Paris, the gare de Juvisy N31 to Gare de Lyon Paris N131 to Paris Gare de Lyon and gare de Brétigny-sur-Orge N144 to gare de Paris-Est and gare de Corbeil-Essonnes
